Despite China's recent economic gains, they are still light years behind contemporary standards when it comes to social attitudes, namely those surrounding sex and gender politics. Aside from leaving their citizens completely in the dark on how to use a penis, China is throwing feminism back into the dark ages by ushering in the creation of parking areas specifically designated for female drivers (damn man, why don’t you give them separate drinking fountains too). The parking lot, located in the city of Shijiazhuang, will feature bright purple colouring as well as larger parking spaces that will, according to city official Wang Zheng, accommodate women's "strong sense of colour and different sense of distance". Looking for room textiles with my girlfriend recently I could almost gloss over Zheng's statement regarding a female propensity for brighter colours, however, the comment that women have a different sense of distance made me laugh out loud and feel shameful at the same time. As a further precaution, if the extra metre in size for each parking spot wasn't enough, there is also trained female staff on duty to guide women safely into their desired spots.
What spurred this fantastic development towards gender segregation was the prevalence of road accidents, the number of which remains unclear regarding those that occur in parking lots. Well, I’m glad they tackled this problem right away by targeting dangerous female drivers that run amok while attempting to park in a lot. Talk about foresight.
At least a hard unit of 1m was used to illustrate the difference between men’s and women’s sense of distance to give the idea at least some semblance of scientific discipline. It’s also hilarious that an all female staff was put in place to ensure that women do not feel self-conscious about parking as they might be in front of one of their male peers. God knows there’s little less attractive than a woman having a hard time parking, fatness being one of them. Though efforts were made to make the environment as female friendly as possible, I do think a uniformed lady working in a bright purple lot waving in a female driver into a hyperbolically huge parking spot is unsettling enough. Way to go China; let me know when women are allowed to vote.

I would argue that Chinese people know how to use their dicks very well. There are more of us than any other nationality in the world.
Also, female only parking lots are a good idea; not because women 'like bright colours and have a different sense of distance', but because they are probably much safer. How many assaults take place in parking lots? That seems light years ahead of other countries, like Canada.
There are 30 odd million Canadians and over a billion Chinese, if any country can't figure out how to use a dick I'd say we're living in it. Who needs voting?!

We take for granted just how much better women have it here than they do in other parts of the world. I'm not saying the struggle for equality is over, but it's light years ahead of the rest of the world.
