Crosby Scores OT Winner... Canada Wins Gold.

By Kenny Feb. 28, 2010 7:31 pm

He was almost invisible the entire game but when it mattered most Sidney Crosby showed up to score the golden goal in overtime against the Americans. The pesky Americans came from behind to tie the game 2-2 with only 24 seconds left setting the stage for Crosby's Paul Henderson-like heroics.  It's hard to imagine a better finish for Canada than this.  Canada ends up with 26 medals overall and a record 14 gold medals, the most-ever by any country at a Winter Olympics.

We may not have owned the podium but I doubt there is any Canadian who cares about that right now.

One of the most tense games I have ever seen. Thanks to CTV for allowing online streaming of these games, or else I wouldn't have been able to watch any of it.

This is a great time to be Canadian and living in America. I have had a smug look on my face all day
