Fantastic Four to get 'rebooted'

The Batman franchise went like this - 1989, 1992, 1995, 1997, before Chris Nolan gave it a reboot in 2005. A good 8 year difference between the reboot and the last installment, and 16 years between the reboot and the 1989 original.

The Spider-Man franchise went like this - 2002, 2004, 2007, before Marc Webb is set to reboot everything for 2012. 5 years between the reboot and the last installment, and a scant 10 between the reboot and the 2002 original.

So here comes the news that the 'Fantastic Four' is set to get 'rebooted'already.

In August 2009, it was announced that Fox plans to reboot the Fantastic Four franchise, with Michael Green writing and Akiva Goldsman producing. The possible title name for the reboot is called Fantastic Four RebornAdrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are being considered for Mr. Fantastic. Alice Eve, who was once cast as Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class, is reported by Fox to be The Invisible Woman, Fox are also interested with Amber Heard for the part as well. Kevin Pennington has been rumored to portray The Human Torch and unknown actor Cody Sousa is also rumored for the role. The Thing could be in CGI, with Bruce Willis and Kiefer Sutherland rumor to voice The Thing. Fox wants to sign Stephen Moyer as Dr. Doom. Joe CarnahanDavid Yates and James McTeigue are on the short list to direct the film.

Could our attention spans really be that short? While the first FF movie was unwatched by me, I watched the supposedly much better sequel half awake at 4 am in a Thai hotel room... it was not good.
