Andrew Garfield will play Peter Parker in the new Spider-Man film.
Yeah, I never heard of him either. But according to hollywoodnews.com, he was chosen from a pool of young hopefuls eager to fill Tobey Maguire's mopey shoes.
The next Spider-Man movie, due July 3, 2012, will be directed by Marc Webb of (500) Days of Summer fame, and arrive a full five years after Spider-Man 3. Whether Webb and Garfield will be able to wash the taste of that awful movie from our mouths remains to be seen.
