Czech Style Fried Bread.
There's nothing uniquely Czech about this. It just helps to make the recipe sound exotic. So here's what you need.
- Day-old bread. The non-sliced is better.
- Oil
- Garlic
- Salami
- Cheese
This is piss easy. You can definitely do this pantsless.
- Slice the bread into 1.5 cm pieces, if it isn't already.
- Pour oil in a large frying pan to a level of 2.5 cm or thereabout.
- Heat the oil.
- When oil is hot put in as many slices of bread as will fit. Fry until 'golden brown' i.e. the colour of a hairdresser's fake tan.
- Flip bread over. Wait until this side is cooked too.
- Remove slices and drain. Start frying any more bread you've got.
- Once all the bread is fried and drained, take one clove of garlic for each slice and rub it so the garlic breaks up and is smeared into the bread.
- Serve with salami and cheese.
Goes well with straight vodka.
