Lou Dobbs was always out of place on CNN. While hardly a bastian of left-wing thought, Dobbs' anti-Mexican immigrant lunacy always seemed like a better fit for Fox News. Anyway, some random thoughts on the matter.
1. If CNN has any sense of humour, they'll replace him with George Lopez, for half the cost.
2. Dobbs was getting trounced in the ratings by FoxNews, whose viewership nearly quadrupled his. If you're in the mood for some populist white rage, why not go to the network that does it best?
3. In 2007, Dobbs repeatedly and falsely claimed that Hispanics brought 7000 new cases of leprosy to the US in a three year period. The actual total number of all leprosy cases in the United States in that time was one twentieth of that amount.
4. Did you know that Dobbs is married to a Mexican woman? Yeah, me neither until a couple of weeks ago. How awkward must those family reunions be?
He also demanded Obama prove he was born in the U.S. Good riddance is all I can say.
