After giving us shows like The Office, Extras, and Little Britain, England continues to pump out television gems, this time, in the form of their upcoming reality series I’m Hotter Than My Daughter, a show where cameras follow three families to show viewers just how entertaining it can be to watch maladjusted mothers and their attempts to devour their eldest daughters’ sexual identities. The show is equal parts bleak, depressing, and exploitive, which all together constitutes fully rounded entertainment value.
The women, sadly enough, due to the (non) wonders of plastic surgery and lack of male imagination, basically prance around with the blithe belief that they are in fact hot shit, when in reality they are just hot shit faced. They fail to realize that fake tits, the ones that hang stiff at the side of the rib cage, and clothes that would make a 35 degree day feel chilly has negligible effect on a 10, 10, 2 (22) busted face and ‘A for effort’ level of intelligence.
And these women do indeed think they are hotter than molten lava. One of the charming ladies claims to drive a forklift at her boyfriend’s factory in hot pants. Fantastic, as I try to keep my penis from dying at the thought of a wannabe MILF and her ass hanging over the seat of a large vehicle, I can’t help but hope they disinfected the damn thing and removed any excess ‘slut’. I’d hate for some next sad sap just trying to earn a day’s pay to instead contract a serious payload of the Alaskan crab.
But all joking aside, the show is highly exploitive; it centres on vulnerable women with real self esteem issues to satisfy a viewership that harbours sadistic schadenfreude inclinations. At least the tabloids target people with money, looks, and fame. In Hotter Than My Daughter, the women only have a fragile character marred by self-deception.
It’s one thing to pick on the rich and famous, another to pick on the defenseless. And the worst part? It’s probably only a matter of time before the show is picked up for US production.
Yea, there's now way someone can have a healthy self-esteem with a mum like that
just because you can have a child doesn't mean you can (or should) be a parent
yo did you notice her daughter is pregnant already too?!
