While I hate on everybody under the sun Kevin Garnett possesses a special place in my hatertude. In Boston's first round, game one win against the Miami Heat last night Garnett was ejected after receiving his second technical foul of the game for elbowing Miami guard Quentin Richardson in the jaw (he received his first tech for taunting earlier in the game).
Garnett's faux-intensity has always irked me. He's an actress. He's no more street than I am a leprechaun. Quentin Richardson recognizes this as well:
Garnett "is an actress and so is Paul,” Richardson said. ”I was going to take the ball out over there. That was what I was trying to do. I told our trainer Jay [Sabol] that [Pierce] is cool and he’s doing what he always do, lay down like it’s a season-ending injury, then he gets up and he’s miraculously fine. He gets a breath, takes his time or whatever and he did the same thing.
”It should be a suspension [for Garnett]. We’ll see. That’s up to the NBA. But I’ve seen things like that in the past and people get suspended. I was cool. I was going to try going at him, but with me being restrained, that’s what it was.”
I fully hope Garnett gets suspended for his "tough guy" antics. I also enjoyed the quip about Pierce's "miraculous" recoveries. Ha!

i don't think there's a more unlikable player in the game than KG. my favourite clip is still when he got in the face of Zaza, only to run scared when he saw that Zaza wasn't going to back down.
