To be fair, there are lots of Obama supporters that can't articulate why they like Obama. But the key difference is that Obama can obviously count a lot of informed, intelligent people amongst his supporters. Palin, not so much. Noted conservatives that have expressed their doubts about Palin include conservative cheerleaders Peggy Noonan, David Frum, Chuck Hagel, and Daily Show punching bag, William Kristol.
I doubt I could articulate what it is that I like about Obama, but I hope I would do better than those people.

The average people who waxed poetic about the "transformative figure" that is obama and don't know any of his stances seem just as stupid as these people.
I like obama alot and for many reasons but i took the trouble to look into his policies before i made a decision. While i cant name every one of his policies,i think i would fair better than those who gushed over him on TV and these people who love palin without knowing why
Obama is not in the same league as palin when it comes to intelligence, disposition, curiosity, humility (yes humility), character, and honesty. but when it comes to their fans, i hate to say it but they seem the same to me.
