I realize I'm probably a bit late to this party, but I thought it was worthwhile to post this anyways. My friend recently turned me on to this album in which Tom Caruana remixes our favorite Wu Tang songs with Beatles tracks.
I never hesitate to confess that I have that prematurely old tendency to be dismissive of new music, and no genre has had my ire focused on it as much as Hip Hop. I find it difficult to live in a world where Lil' Wayne is one of the most popular artists. He's fucking terrible, don't try to tell me otherwise.
That being said, this album serves a nostalgic function to me, reminding me of two eras when music wasn't god-awful. What makes Enter the Magical Mystery Chambers remarkable is two things: one, how natural the remixes sound, every track could easily pass as an original recording; and two, it gives us a brief look at how different the hip hop world could have been if Beatles samples weren't so damn impossible to get the rights to.
Anyways, it's easy enough to find this mix online, but here's where I got it: click here.
